The Des-Case Extreme Duty (XD) desiccant breather has excellent vibration and impact resistance, can withstand broad temperature ranges, has expansive chemical compatibility, and features quality check valve technology while still accommodating higher air flow. The Extreme Duty breather also has the best filter efficiency of any Des-Case breather―down to 0.3µ absolute (β0.3≥200).

Did You Know…
Maintaining clean oil can extend equipment life as much as 2-5 times?
Moisture contamination is the second most desctructive contaminant in most systems.
Particle contamination is responsible for as much as 80% of machine wear?
Features
1 Quad Check Valves
Check-valves provide system pressurization, protecting system integrity and extending product life.
2 Filter Element
ePTFE filter removes airborne contamination to 0.3-micron absolute. Stops free water.
3 Water Vapor Adsorbent
Color-indicating silica gel adsorbs water from incoming air. Replace when color changes from blue to pink.
4 Filter Element
Second particulate filter element protects against migration of desiccant.
5 Visual Indicator
Windows on two sides of breather allow for easy monitoring of desiccant.
6 Rugged Housing
Constructed from a PC/PBT alloy that maximizes chemical compatibility at the surface and impact resistance at the core.
7 Foam Pad
Foam filter captures any oil mist and disperses incoming air evenly over filtration and drying areas.
8 Integrated Standpipe
Resilient construction provides durability and allows oil mist to coalesce and drain back into the reservoir

Please Note: This is intended as a general guideline for sizing only; other considerations, such as: humidity level, frequency of air flow, ambient temperatures, and chemical compatibility are very important in sizing a breather properly. Larger applications and special circumstances typically require the most thorough analysis. Please contact Des-Case for assistance in sizing a breather.
